A prominent US based hedge fund with a very successful track record is
entering the Indian market and is looking for a Chief Investment Officer /
Portfolio Manager. The fund will be a standalone entity with full operations
in India and has initial long term LP commitments of over $250 million. The
India fund will primarily invest in the public markets with the right to
invest around 25% in private transactions through structured finance.
The qualified candidate will be a seasoned investment professional with a
minimum of seven years of related experience. Detailed qualifications
include:
--Experience in the Indian financial sector
--Deep network within the Indian financial industry
--Experience managing an investment portfolio with a track record
attributable to the individual
--Significant understanding of capital markets and complex investment
strategies
--Strong transaction understanding in structured finance
--Experience of assessing risk and in structuring investments
--Strong financial analysis capabilities and entrepreneurial qualities
--Driven, dynamic and articulate
--Ability to manage an investment team and work in the team culture of the
parent company

Compensation is highly competitive (top decile). The firm has a meritocratic
