Function: Marketing
Position: GM - Marketing

Role Reporting to: VP (Sales, Marketing & Innovation)
A few GPMs would report into this role

Purpose of role
* Manage the process of gathering and developing
consumer and market
understanding.
* Identify opportunities for Brand growth via
addressing more customer
segments, price points, consumption occasions etc.
* Lead the development and execution of plans to
address
opportunities. WITHIN the context of organizational/
corporate strategy
WITH
THE OBJECTIVE of developing the full potential of
brand and its sub
brands
and accelerating profitable growth for company.

Pre requisite

* Minimum 13-15 years of experience in marketing,
media and
advertising
* Business orientation, Strategy/brand/ consumer/ media
understanding,
Handling teams and people

Area of responsibility
* Understand Markets - Leading the development of a
well roundedperspective of the markets and input that
into brand strategy (market
research, consumer understanding etc)
* Manage Marketing services
o Review and allocate A & SP spend for the various
brands, facilitateplanning of activities for the brand
teams, review initiatives and
provideinputs for revising activities.
o Interact with agencies, provide inputs, sign off on
final brief review iterations and evolve final plan,
supervise and guide brand teams and
sign off on estimates.
o Review the media planning and buying for assigned
category. Providedirection and inputs for briefs to
Group Product Managers in line with
mediastrategy, review periodically to fine
tune/course correct. Participate innegotiation with
Major Channels, as requested by the Media Team
o Validate cross promotions design fits with brand

* Manage Brands - Study consumer and market trends and
formulate brandstrategy by outlining the role of
brand in portfolio and the architecture
for the brand. Facilitating the articulation of brand
seed. Lead discussion across stakeholders to evaluate
margin improvement ideas for brands, arrive
at brand trade offs for keeping A&SP within limits.
Finalise design ofconsumer promos and product
renovations based on consumer check; provide
inputs into brand teams and monitoring timeliness of
promo launch andrelevant support. Finalise product
pricing by facilitating brand team
analysis, providing inputs, signing off on price
change proposal, IN ORDERTO help improve the
preference, NSV, Gross Margin and Market Share of
assigned Brand Portfolio
