As discussed, we are currently working on a leadership role for one of our
American Multinational clients who are the leading marketer's of innerwear,
outerwear and hosiery apparels.

Our client is dramatically expanding its manufacturing and sourcing
operations in Asia anticipating growth to near 30,000 employees across the
continent and subcontinent over the next 5 years. In addition to this
supply chain initiative, the company is also expanding its commercial
operations in the major markets of Asia, most notably in India and China.
With the growth of the Asian markets and the opportunities therein, our
client is interested in strengthening its Indian operations through the
recruitment of an executive to run their commercial operations based out of
Mumbai .

We are working on this mandate with the client who is keen on hiring a
suitable incumbent as their Managing Director - India.

Responsibilities

Reporting into the Senior Vice President based in America, the Managing
Director, India will be responsible for:

-Approximately $5 million operation with 6 direct reports and a total staff
of 50.
-Individual’s overall responsibility will be to dramatically expand the
marketing, merchandising, distribution, and sales of the company’s brands in
the overall Indian market.
- The individual will direct all commercial functions within India.
- He/She will manage a cross-functional leadership team that will include
marketing, sales, logistics, finance and human resources to significantly
grow revenues, profits and market share within the India market.
- Develop a keen understanding of the evolving Indian retail market and
distribution and develop great relationships with retailers, both large and
small, across the Indian markets.
- Seek out and secure significant India development opportunities to drive
business toward profitable strategic growth and market share including
planned growth to $30MM by CY10

Qualifications

- An MBA (from a premier Bschool) with 15 – 20 years of experience in sales
& marketing function.
- Proven leadership and management skills
- Ability to manage a diverse group of brands and understand the image of
these brands or potential image of them in the marketplace
- Ability to work autonomously in an ever-changing and somewhat ambiguous
environment, collaborating effectively with the overall Asian team, the
supply chain group and the US corporate headquarters
