We are looking for CFO for the following requirement:
1) Power sector company
This company provides last mile connectivity for power distribution.
The key areas are erection of transmission towers, substations and
related equipment for transmission of power to rural areas.The four
major areas of operation for them are:
a) Rural Electrification - Through (SEB, NTPC, REL)
b) Construction of sub-stations
c) Industrial electrification - setting up transformers
d) Wind energy- evacuation of power from wind farm to SEB grid. They
are working with Suzlon, Enercon, etc. in this case.
They are also providing energy conservation consultancy to industrial
houses.
The company is based in Chennai but has a footprint across Karnataka,
MP, TN, AP and they have just completed a rural electrification
project covering 1500 villages in UP for REL.
The company had a turnover of Rs 100 crore in 2007 and expects to have
a turnover of Rs 200 crores for 2008. It operates on a PAT that is 2%
higher than industry peers.
They are looking for a CFO who can:
a) streamline processes and control
b) assist the MD
c) manage the IPO process - which may be anytime in the next 2-3 years.
The person must be a:
a) CA
b) have an experience of 15 years
c) familiar with the local language
d) have an experience of working in the power sector
e) exposure to IPO placement is desirable.
Location - Chennai
Compensation - Based on industry norms / negotiable
