We are seeking applications for Analyst positions in Financial Institutions & Governments group (FIG) team of the Credit Analysis Unit ("CAU") in Mumbai.
About the Credit Analysis Unit (CAU)
The CAU was set up in Jan 2003 to centralize credit risk analysis of JPMorgan's clients. The unit is a part of the Credit Risk Management function of JPMorgan, responsible for managing credit risk across all lines of business. CAU works closely with the in-country Bankers and Credit Executives and provides them with a comprehensive credit risk analysis as well as the recommendation on credit facilities & risk grades. The CAU covers clients across Asia, Europe and North America in a broad range of sectors.
The F I G team in the CAU covers banks, NBFCs, sovereigns, insurance companies, brokers, exchanges and asset managers
The Role
§ In-depth analysis of Financial Sector clients to enable credit decisioning
§ Understand various techniques and methods of credit analysis
§ Interaction with overseas Bankers and Credit approvers
§ Support Bankers in effective client management strategy through timely and relevant client intelligence
§ Developing global sectoral expertise
Pre-requisites
§ MBA from a premier business school and/or Chartered Accountant
§ 1-2 years work experience in analyzing financial statements of Financial Sector companies
§ Excellent research, analytical and business writing skills with keen attention to detail
§ Aptitude to learn and develop knowledge on credit analysis techniques, sectors and global economies
§ Motivated and willingness to work in cross sector / product and geographic coverage teams
