The Corporate Advisory Group (CAG) of Kotak Mahindra Bank is urgently
looking for Associates and Senior Associates for its rapidly growing
Investment Banking practice.
CAG is an investment banking arm of Kotak Bank and provides financial
advisory services for mid-market deals.
Broadly, the various Advisory services of CAG includes the following:
1) Business/Corporate/Debt Restructuring - providing advisory services in
the form of raising debt and equity funds for distressed corporates having
the potential to turnaround
Services include:
- Restructuring through demerger, hive-offs, subsidarisation
–- –Recapitalization and turnaround management
–- One Time Settlement of debt
–- Corporate Debt Restructuring/BIFR
–- Unlocking value from non core assets
2) Risk Capital Syndication
Services include:
- –Exploring and zeroing on optimum mix of financing
–- Sourcing and Arranging Private and Institutional Debt / Equity
–
–- Alternative sources of capital – convertibles, mezzanine funding
–- Capital syndication for distress situation for unlocking and creating
value
3) M&A and Private Equity Advisory
– Identification of suitable alliances / targets / investments based on
criteria selected
–- Evaluate and quantify synergies
––- Determining / Validating the business valuation
–- Assisting in negotiations, extracting the best possible value for our
client
–- Determining the optimal deal structure
–- Raising of finance for acquisition/buyouts
- Raising growth capital, mezzanine capital, strategic investment
For the above practices CAG is looking for CA and/or MBA (finance) with 1 to
5 years of experience.
Typical candidate for Associate position would have 1-2 years of experience
of having worked as analyst in an investment banking firm some fund,
advisory division, research divisions, rating companies, or fields related
to above mentioned work. Associate should be well versed with valuation,
financial modelling, business plan etc.
Typical Senior associate would be working as a team leader and would drive
and execute various mandates. Senior Associate would have 3+ years of
experience in the field of Financial Restructuring/Recapitalisation/Risk
Capital Syndication/M&A Private Equity. He should be well versed with
various technical and regulatory issues related to the above practices. He
should have led a team of atleast 2-3 members.
