Event Coordinator - IT solutions

Opening with a US based IT solution provider company, Indian base in Gurgaon, who are looking for a Event Coordinator for its events in US.



This is a stand Alone position where the person is expected to do all coordination himself. Position will be based out of companys India office in Gurgaon and periodic travelling is required.



Reporting is directly to the company director.



Event Coordinator, Membership Development Group

The Event Coordinator should be detail-oriented candidate with excellent organization and project management skills and is responsible for planning and implement the Consortium's hosting and participation in domestic and training conferences, exhibitions, and special events -- including internal and external employee-related events.

Responsibilities:

* Performs duties related to conferences exhibitions and special events, including speaker and vendor management, conference planning, conference services, and staffing.
* Performs duties related to company events, including venue selection, catering, and RSVP management.
* Assists with vendor contract and sponsorship execution.
* Assist with off-site and on-site supervision of conferences and events.
* Distributes conference and event materials and information to appropriate parties.
* Communicates proactively with attendees, speakers and vendors about upcoming events, giving related parties adequate time for planning.
* Increases conference and event effectiveness wherever possible.
* Assists with internal company events including: client visits, iSeminars
* Other related duties as required.

Requirements:

* 3+ years in event or trade show logistics and project coordination.
* Knowledge of event production, exhibit production, show service terminology, and how to create a positive attendee experience.
* Excellent writing, interpersonal and time management skills.
* Effective organizational skills; must be very detail-oriented.
* Proficient PC skills, including Excel and PowerPoint.
* Periodic travel required.
