Our client is a leading international media house with offices in over 40 countries across the globe. The firm is reputed for its unparallel quality, comprehensive coverage and a wide access to global executives. The organization is planning to set up its business information arm in India which disseminates business intelligence in the areas of country analysis, industry trends and latest management/best practices to influential decision-makers around the world.
The firm is looking for a confident and dynamic individual for the position of Country Director, to spearhead its venture in the country. The objective of the position is to lead the group’s business in India, through effective management and to increase the size and profitability of the firm
The incumbent will have the following responsibilities:
· Management of the entire business.
· Plannng strategies, organisation structure, resource requirements.
· Monitoring competition and exploring business development opportunities
· Being the public face of the organization and representing the company at significant public events
· Monitoring and advising on quality of product
· Acting as the manager to support the sales and research functions.
· Leading the development and implementation of business plans, budgets and financial reforecast.
· Managing relationships with senior clients, government bodies and business partners in India.
· Ensuring that the operations are consistent with the corporate strategy and policies, and that proper corporate governance and internal controls are in place.
· Knowledge management
· To ensure brand integrity and product quality.
The ideal candidate will be a management graduate from a premier institute with 10-15 years of experience preferably in a content/research based environment. The incumbent must be in a leadership role and should have the ability to build operations from scratch.
