Regional General Manager- Sales (Retail), MNC, Chennai
Company: A global well established MNC in India in the consumer and industrial products & services industry.
Position Overview: To focus on the retail / distributor channel. This role also acts as a regional integrator for all sales & administrative functions and is a key position responsible for the retail sales performance of the Southern Region.
Profile: Experience of 7+ years in Sales / Brand Management. Good understanding and previous experience of handling distributor business would be essential. Strong people management and prior sales manager experience is required.
Age: Mid 30s. Location: Chennai Education: Graduate, with MBA preferably
Key Responsibilities: Development and execution of regional retail sales strategy; accountable for achievement of the volume, value and GM targets for the retail business in the region; management and development of the company’s distributor partners - e.g. credit policy, performance management processes, appointment processes; management and development of a team of sales staff and other support employees; management of working capital - e.g. sales forecasting / skew, debtors days, stocks; accountable for delivering customer service, HSSE and ethics; assist the VP-Retail in coordinating activities of various functions in the region as and when required; coach the regional leadership team consisting of the RSOM, BDM and the ASMs
Target Companies: MNCs and good Indian companies in the FMCG or companies having mass distribution businesses.
