The Job description is a s follows:
Role : Evaluating inorganic growth opportunities (valuation, rationale and
due diligence) and supporting negotiation of terms. Participating in cross
functional initiatives to minimize execution risk ( e.g. ads for equity
swaps)
Benchmarking HT against competitors
Skills : Valuation, researching, constructing and presenting a good
argument (PowerPoint) . Strong project management
Level : Sr. Manager
Direct Reporting into – Head, Business Excellence
Work Ex : Prior work ex (2-3 yrs +) in a professional services
environment or business development team in a corporate.
The Business Excellence department primarily looks after:
§
1. Evaluating and executing new initiatives (For both internal and
external partners)
§
2. Launch of HT partnership for growth (Bartering HT Ad Inventory for
equity in partner company)
§
3. Ensuring HT functions and business units co-operates where possible.
Profile of Gul Mukhey - Head (Business Excellence)
Mr Gul Mukhey, Head - Business Excellence, joined HT Media Ltd in
September 2006. Prior to this, he worked with Virgin Management, London,
in corporate, strategic and advisory services as Investment Manager. Mr
Mukhey played a lead role in driving Virgin's entry into India. His work
experience also includes ING Barings, London, where he dealt with mergers,
acquisitions and strategic financial initiatives. Mr Mukhey has a Masters
degree in Finance from London Business School.
