Opportunity to train rural women
Navgati, in partnership with ILID, has taken on the responsibility
of designing and delivering training to a group of 50 rural women
with the objective of building their confidence, personality,
communication skills and customer orientation for them to take on
customer relationship executive roles with Narayana Hrudayalaya.
Narayana Hrudayala, founded by Dr.Devi Shetty, provides cardiac care
to the poor.
This is a 3 month project. This will be ideal for those who are
passionate about empowering women. The other exciting part of the
assignment is that the trainer will also interact with and train
parallely, a group of women in Calcutta through a video conference.
If this project is successful, then the organisations involved
desire to scale it to a level where in can touch 10000 women. So the
success of the pilot is crucial. A lot of senior people from
Narayana Hrudalaya (including Dr. Devi Shetty), ILID and Navgati are
going to be personally committed to making the pilot successful, so
it will be a huge learning experience for the trainer.
Profile of the trainer
1. Knowledge of Kannada
2. Preferably from a teaching, training, customer service
background. While high energy, mature and committed freshers are
also OK, working experience of any kind would be an advantage
3. High on energy and enthusiasm, with an ability to connect to
rural women
4. Willing to work on a 3 month project. ( 5 days a week at the
Narayana Hrudayalaya premises, on Hosur Road)
Navgati will work intensively with the selected candidates euipping
them with lesson plans and assessments. Remuneration to trainers
will be comparable to similar roles in private sector organisations.
