Job Title: VP - Marketing and Business Development
Job description: VP Marketing & Business Development at Tachyon will be directly responsible for revenue
generation efforts as well as day-to-day operations of the company's sales/marketing initiatives. His/her mandate
encompasses product marketing, field marketing, customer analytics, marketing communications(including web
presence, creative & advertising, promotions), public relations, product/service packaging, pricing,
developing/managing alliances and taking care of investments/investor relations.
These responsibilities thus far are being handled by the founders themselves. Tachyon has raised the first round
of funding in Dec'06, with Rediff.com taking up a minority stake. With the investment boosting the development
of new products and innovations, Tachyon is looking to emphasize on setting up a specialized
Marketing/Business Development team, which would be headed by the job position described above.
Experience & Special Requirements: Candidate should preferably have marketing/business development
experience of 2+ years in a technology company (a products company will be a plus). Entrepreneurial outlook
and aggressive attitude will be of utmost importance.
Remuneration Package: Remuneration will be in two parts, fixed component being 15+ lacs. p.a. and variable
component being 50% of the fixed component, based on the performance. Final numbers are open for
negotiations depending on the candidate's capabilities.
Location: Marketing and Business Development work will be based out of our Bangalore office.
