Head - Business Development, Market Research

We have an opening as Head-Business Development with a leading Market Research Organisation. There are 2 positions, one in Mumbai, and another in Delhi.

POSITION: Head Business Development Manager (Client Servicing)
Age: 28-35 Years
Span of Control: 2-3 (Acc Exec & Sr. Acc Exec)
Qualification: MBA from a premium institute and strong academics (70%),B-Pharma, B.S.C., Engineering,
Experience: Min. 5-6 yrs

Job Profile
Head BD represents the middle - management in the marketing hierarchy, the main revenue generating team of the Organization. The job involves a perfect balance between sales maximization and service orientation. The Head BD is involved in analyzing information and providing solutions for the business needs of the clients and partnering with them in their strategy/brand planning process and eventually growing our and clientele business. Apart from understanding the client's business & business issues, and providing solutions using his knowledge and our databases, he/ she is also involved in developing services to address the long term needs of the clients. This is similar to any new product development in any sector.
Hence, the position demands a good knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, strong communication skills and in-depth understanding of the client business. The job demands strong man-management qualities as he/ she leads a team of 2-3 executives and has a critical role to play in building strong customer relationships. Head BD plays a pivotal role in developing new research offerings and liasioning with other processing departments and our international offices.

Should have equal experience in:
- Product Management + Sales or
- Strategic Marketing + Sales or
- Business Development + Sales
- Marketing + Sales

They in turn get leads from the Task force team as to which company is looking for what, or can look for. BD Manager will have to go and meet the client after doing the best mapping of what he is or can look for and how best can we service his needs.

Profile:
Option 1:-
- 65% work exp. Should be in Marketing i.e. Strategic marketing, Business Development, Product Management
- 35% work experience should be in sales.

Option 2:-
- 50% to 65% work exp should be in strategic work in a market research company or Business development for a market research company.
- 50% to 35% work exp should be of any other sales background and industry which is into concept selling product catering to corporates.

Focus area of work will include:-
- 35% - consulting i.e. analytics, consulting, information – client projects
- 35% - marketing i.e. client relationship should be good.
- 30% - sales/ Marketing ppt – worked at the backend
- Should have a good hand on power point

What will they do?
All new business generation
Pitch presentations on Consulting services projects and our offerings
Work closely with the task force team and get leads
Recovery
Client Segmentation and satisfaction
They will be handling 4 to 5 clients at a time.
