Position: Head Compliance
Location: Hyderabad
Reporting to Country Head
Head of department for an offshore team, providing a range of compliance services to Compliance Departments throughout the UBS group, predominantly to the Investment Bank. The reporting line will be locally, to ISC management and services will be provided under a managed services agreement and monitored via SLA ’s with a variety of Compliance Business Teams around the globe. The role will have direct line management responsibility for a number of individuals completing a range of smaller, discrete processes and, in addition, will manage one or two team leaders responsible for dedicated compliance teams completing more substantial compliance processes on behalf of onshore business team leaders.The Head of Compliance for the Offshore Compliance Function (OCF) will provide process support to enable onshore colleagues around the world to meet regulatory requirements and reflect best practice in the industry. He/she will work closely with onshore colleagues to achieve process efficiencies and cost savings. The role will also direct a team of compliance officers and will include:
£Oversight of all aspects of the OCF ensuring that Key Performance Indicators are met.
£Central to the set-up of the offshore function including initial recruitment, training and organisation.
£Set up of robust quality assurance and reporting mechanisms to provide assurance to the ISC management that performance standards are being met.
£Management information to ISC management and to Onshore Compliance Business Team leaders on performance levels and any significant issues identified.
£Line management of the staff within the function, including ongoing recruitment, retention and training.
£A qualified solicitor, accountant or MBA £Process oriented and able to complete tasks on time and to specification; 10- 15 years experience
£Energetic, resilient and tenacious £Able to make decisions and exercise sound judgement under pressure £A diplomat with strong negotiation skills
