We are seeking to identify a Vice-President - IT for our client, aleading multinational telecom service company providing world class services across India. Having been though a recent acquisition and globalisation exercise, they are now bringing the advantages of globalintegration and outsourcing to their IT infrastructure in the countryand are seeking an experienced professional to spearhead and manage thisinitiative.

*The Role*
You will oversee the transition to a leaner, more efficient ITorganisation by defining and anchoring the process of IT outsourcing forthe company. You will be the single point contact within theorganisation for this billion dollar multi-year initiative. Keyresponsibilities will include planning and strategizing the outsourcingmodel, identifying the partner, as well as creating and managing theservice level agreements. You will also be responsible for a secure androbust IT environment by ensuring a smooth transition to this model withminimum down time.
*Your Profile*
You must hold an engineering degree in a related field from a premierinstitute and must have close to 20 years of high quality IT experiencewith system driven companies. You should currently be in a leadershiprole and should have prior infrastructure, applications and projectmanagement experience. Outsourcing experience, either on the client orvendor side is essential. In-depth exposure to installing and managinglarge scale information systems and strong familiarity with currenttechnology offerings and future trends are pre-requisites for the role.
