Role Description: Global Sourcing Head
RESPONSIBILITY
1. Prepare corporate sourcing plan based on annual and quarterly
business plans
2. Prepare and implement work force planning process for optimum
utilization of available manpower
3. Design and execute strategies for hiring the required human
resources
4. Recommend better sourcing models and strategies to higher
management
5. Review and suggest changes to sourcing process, policies and
methodologies from time to time
6. Superior knowledge of the global IT industry and ability to
target skill sets from Information Technology, Telecommunications and
In-house EDP sector
7. Acquire and track market information on availability of
resources
8. Continuously benchmark the company with the best practices in
the industry in terms of sourcing
9. Build a strong network with other sourcing heads in the region
as well as with possible candidates to obtain continuous market
feedback
10. Continuously evaluate available sourcing tools in the market,
obtain knowledge of new tools and evaluate them
11. Participation in industry and community forums to create a brand
for RS software
12. Demonstrated ability to execute recruiting strategy, including
employer promotion in the marketplace, placing postings and
advertisements, candidate management, cold calling, networking,
internet, alumni associations/ college, non-traditional media, and
interview process management.
13. Ensure continuous and timely follow up for identified resources
14. Work in a team environment, guide internal sourcing teams and
collaborate with others in the HR group
15. Regularly coordinate with other departments/ processes at all
levels of RS Management to ensure timely availability of resources
16. Understand technical requirements of a position to determine the
best possible way to assess the candidates technically
17. Conduct interviews to assess candidates from a HR standpoint
18. Willingness and ability to work with people across the globe
supporting the recruiters in US
19. Ensuring preparation and implementation of bench engagement plans
in the organization
20. Responsible for the preparation of person power fulfillment plan
in line with raised indents.
21. Providing person power to meet Business / Functional unit
requirements
22. Pre placement Presentations, Advertisements
AUTHORITY
People Related:
1. Recommendation of team members for recruitment.
2. Recommendations of salary fixation, revision, increment,
confirmation and promotion of all team members or the professional who
are in bench.
3. Appraising people reporting directly and the professional who
are in the pool.
4. Recommendation for separation of any team member as per policy
Task Related:
1. Changing job and task allocations of team members reporting to
him/her
2. Should follow information security guideline as per
organizations information policy. In case of any client specific
security guideline is applicable to be adhered to the same.
Financial:
1. Approving expenses as per budget
2. As decided by the VP Corporate.
3. Prepare and track cost of sourcing and provide updates to the
management
4. Analyze the cost of various sourcing tools and optimize them to
minimize sourcing cost
