Domain expert- Manufacturing
Skill-map of the ‘candidate’ for the MFG – Domain expert position will be a person with:
Degree in Mechanical / Industrial / Production Engineering.
Post Graduate degree in Production / Systems / Industrial / Manufacturing Engineering
Preferably with a MBA or Profit Centre responsibility for 3 – 4 years
15 - 20 years shop floor experience in a 3000+ people, multi-product, multi-location, ‘metal working - discrete manufacturing’ organization, involving functions such as:
Production
Production Planning
Materials Management
Quality Control / Assurance
Equipment Maintenance
Purchasing
Has worked in at least 3 – 4 different manufacturing organizations (exposure to different MFG set-ups)
Has reached a ‘Divisional Head’ position in the current organization
Has good knowledge of Just-in-Time production techniques (including Statistical Process Control)
Has been a power-user of SAP ERP for at least 3 - 4 years; APO an added advantage
Has a reasonable appreciation of the role of information technology in a Manufacturing organization
Added advantage: If the candidate has worked in a manufacturing set up in USA / EU
Ability to engage in meaningful conversations with CxO level personnel
Is Articulate and possesses excellent presentation skills
