Job Description: Manager / Executive Manager – Telecom, Media & Technology (TMT)
As Executive Manager in the Strategy & Operations practice, you will work directly with the S&O industry lead and with key subject matter partners in the U.S. Your role is to manage complex client engagements in corporate, customer and channel strategy issues and ensure rigorous and consistent use of methodologies and processes. Your client engagements will range between US Dollars 50,000 – 200,000 in the Telecom, Media and Technology domain. You will lead and mentor a team of 8-10 consultants. Key responsibilities will include:
· Execution: You will manage execution of end-to-end client projects including proposal development, project scoping, problem/ issue structuring, identifying and managing work threads.
· Build out of capacity: You will be responsible for hiring and training staff, development of consulting tools, processes, standards and tools, and interaction with other groups to build eminence for the practice.
· Practice economics: You will work with the practice lead to identify opportunities to improve effectiveness and efficiency (Revenue utilization & Profitability). You will help identify issues that may affect practice performance and develop solutions for these issues.
· Network & Business Development: You will network and build relationships with global partners to build and expand client relationships.
Qualifications
Between 7-9 years of experience in management consulting and/or industry - focused on the TMT industry.
Outstanding strategy & analytical skills (preferably strategy consulting and/or corporate planning expertise) and excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required. Highly developed personal and professional ethics will be expected of you. An ability to build professional relationships, a spirit of co-operation, and a flexible approach to work will be assets. The job demands problem-solving skills, resilience, and a positive attitude. Experience in working with US clients is a plus. Since the job requires leading significant interactions with US colleagues, the ability to network with US counterparts is important. The position will require up to 30-35% travel globally (pre-dominantly to the U.S.) and will be based out of Hyderabad with a possibility of a set-up in Mumbai in the next 3-6 months.
