the business, which is valued at over 2.5 billion US dollars.
Position description:
It is now looking to create a new position that of Sr. VP (Media
Marketing & Sales), reporting to the Director of the company to
further consolidate and build the business. All the newspaper brands
would report to this person. Individual would be required to head
media sales to national advertisers and advertising agencies as well
as lead brand building efforts. Regional heads ( from where the
publishing is actually done ) would also depend upon this
individual for strategic marketing inputs. Person would lead teams
comprising of regional sales heads, marketing and brand
communication, MIS, Analysis & Data.
Hiring Profile:
MBA with 14-18 years from leading business schools like the IIMs/
FMS/ SP Jain etc. with interest in the media business and deep
understanding of B2B business models. Must have experience in BOTH
sales and marketing at the leadership level with excellent visioning
and flawless execution capabilities. Could have worked in categories
such as media, FMCG, telecom, financial services, hospitality,
logistics, beverages etc. Strong presentation and negotiation
skills mandatory as the position would deal with apex level decision
makers on large deals.
